Hello John, I wanted to reach out and ensure you get a chance to read some of my favorite stories of freedom from the last few months of our work at The Exodus Road.
As we enter into the final stretch of this year, we’re already celebrating the massive impact that you’ve helped us achieve from January through September: 361 more survivors freed. 429 traffickers arrested. Of course, there is a story for every stat. Here is a glimpse into a few of my personal favorites:
- We helped coordinate a massive operation in partnership with Brazil Federal Police, Interpol, and Thai Law Enforcement. The case resulted in the arrest of 280 suspected traffickers – all Chinese nationals who were handed back over to Chinese officials. You can see the moment that handoff took place here.
- In the Philippines, we helped prevent the sale of a 6-day-old child who was posted on Facebook for the equivalent of $440. The perpetrator – a midwife – was arrested and is facing a potential sentence of life in prison.
- In the United States, our teams have been fervently working to bring Influenced, our online exploitation prevention curriculum, to children and parents across the U.S. At a recent event, we made Influenced available to more than 5,000 families in Colorado – just one of numerous training and workshop events we’re leading this Fall.
I know that it can be challenging to keep up with everything that we share in our work! But I don’t want you to miss out on any of the incredible advances for freedom you’ve made possible. That’s why I’m including a link to our Quarter Three Impact Report detailing our impact this year from January through September. The pages are packed with authentic, compelling stories from our teams around the world. |
I’d love it if you could take a few minutes today to scroll through the report, and as you do so, I hope you know that you are a part of these stories. You are making a real difference in the lives of survivors of human trafficking. Thank you for helping us bring freedom to more men, women, and children! |
