Friend,
The news from Wisconsin's Supreme Court election keeps showing how dangerous and unethical it is to force people to go to the polls during a public health crisis. And the hypocrisy of the politicians forcing people into impossible decisions:
- It turns out that while the conservative-majority state Supreme Court was okay with forcing people to choose between their health and their vote, all of the justices themselves voted absentee.
- And Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (pictured above) had the nerve to tell voters that in-person voting was "incredibly safe" while wearing head-to-toe protective gear.
The Wisconsin election may be in the books, but we have to decide how to move forward.
Will we let Republicans get away with putting politics above public health?
Or will we fight for the right of every eligible American to cast a ballot safely, no matter what Trump and his lackeys try?
If you're ready to fight, chip in now to help the NDRC expand vote-by-mail and early voting options so that our voices can be heard.
