Friend,
As Election Day nears, we’re reminded of the importance of Hunger Free America’s advocacy work. We fight for policies that will end hunger and poverty in our country. This year we traveled to Washington D.C. and spoke to our elected officials about why programs like SNAP and WIC were so vital to the health and wellbeing of our communities. Our advocacy work is always informed by those who have experienced food insecurity firsthand.
We were incredibly proud to celebrate the implementation of the Summer EBT program, for which Hunger Free America has been a leading advocate for years. This year 35 states enacted Summer EBT and we won’t stop fighting until every family in the country has access to healthy, affordable food throughout the year.
Hunger Free America was also instrumental in advocating for the White House Conference on Hunger, the first such conference in more than 50 years! Getting Congress to fund, and the White House agree to hold the conference, a step long championed by Hunger Free America, was a big victory for the anti-hunger movement.
Will you support our work as we fight for anti-hunger policies, both locally and nationally?
