We won’t lie, John: in these final days before the election, we can’t help but experience some flashbacks to 2016.
The reality is that we have been fighting Donald Trump for EIGHT. Years. Straight.
And now, we are in the final days before we hope to put this behind us. Whatever gas is left in the tank, this is the time to use it.
Now is not the time to freeze up because of our past election night trauma. Our team is working our hardest in this final stretch to engage supporters to win our closest races.
Although some of this feels like Groundhog Day, we have to remember that the power of moms has multiplied since then. So much has changed:
- In 2016, Vote Mama didn’t even exist. Our founder and CEO had not yet run for Congress. The power of moms had not yet been unleashed. And we are just one example of the many incredible people-powered organizations launched since 2016.
- In just five years, we built a movement that is designed to stop extremists in their tracks with the power of moms.
- In 2024, our strategy of electing pro-choice moms across the country runs straight through the most important battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
The coming days will be intense, we all feel it. At the top of the ticket, the presidential race is neck-and-neck. We know how important it is to secure the White House, and to deliver a Congress ready to fight for gun reform, pass paid family leave, and more.
Down the ballot, we support moms in battleground red-to-blue congressional races who could determine who controls the House. Our strategy is all-encompassing and spans coast to coast.
We are leaving no stone unturned in the fight to stop MAGA extremists who are hellbent on banning everything from books to abortion. We will press on the gas until every vote is counted for every single mama we endorse.
Our team is truly doing everything we can to never feel like we did in 2016 ever again.
We have put in so much work in our first five years as an organization, and we are confident in our strategy. This isn't 2016. This is 2024, and we’ve got elections to win. We are not going back. And we need you to move forward with us.
