Note From the Chair
Hey folks! Rita Hart here.
The election is now only four days away! Four days until the stress, anxiety, and worry the campaigns have caused are over. Hundreds of thousands of Iowans have shown they’re ready for the election to be finished in that they’ve already turned in their absentee ballots to their County Auditor or voted early at the many polling stations scattered across the state.
That’s what I’m here to talk to you about today–getting more people to the polls to turn the hundreds of thousands of voters into over a million!
Instructions on how to vote early are included farther down this ICYMI, and I hope you’ll use them. Please forward this email to friends and relatives that haven’t voted and would appreciate a guide on how to do so.
We’re so close, Iowans, to the future we all want to see. In order to get there, we’re going to need to show up in numbers this state has never seen. We’re going to need every Democratic voter we have, and every independent that sees the harm Trump will cause this country. Together, we can build a nation that stands for all of us. One we can all be proud of.
Sincerely,
Rita Hart
IDP Chair

Vote Early - In Three Easy Steps
Early voting started October 16th, and the election’s only getting closer. Don’t forget to head to the polls and make your voice heard! If you wanted to request an absentee ballot, but couldn’t find the time; don’t panic. We here at IDP have compiled an easy-to-understand list of how you can vote early and in person today:
1. Use this link and find your County Auditor’s Office County Auditor List (iowa.gov) [[link removed]] . It will include your Office’s address, phone number, and other relevant contact information.
2. All Auditor’s Offices serve as early voting stations, so if yours is nearby you can go there to cast your ballot. If it’s a bit of a drive you can call your Office to see if they’ve set up any early voting stations closer to where you live. If you’d prefer not to call, you can use this link to find your polling place as well: I Will Vote [[link removed]] (though remember to look under the ‘Early Vote’ tab to get the correct locations)
3. Travel to your polling location of choice, and make your voice heard!
After that you’re finished. You’ve cast your vote, and assisted our democracy once again. Now all that’s left is to collect your sticker!
