JOHN,
I’m proud to endorse Preston Nouri for U.S. Congress. The son of Polish and Persian immigrants, Preston is a first-generation American and Muslim who shares my deep commitment to human rights, justice, and dignity for all people—with no exceptions. He’s not afraid to speak up for Palestinian liberation and against U.S. support for ethnic cleansing.
Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Preston is running to serve his hometown. He’s up against an AIPAC-backed Republican insurrectionist who led the lawsuit to overturn Pennsylvania’s 2020 election results and who is under investigation for insider trading while in office. Preston and I believe that Members of Congress should serve their constituents, not their stock portfolios or corporate interests.
While Preston’s opponent wants to get rid of Social Security and Medicare, Preston understands that many families are one illness away from bankruptcy and he’s fighting to increase access to quality, affordable healthcare. Preston wants to tax the rich, take on big money in politics, and help ensure that we can all thrive.
Instead of funding human rights abuses abroad with U.S. tax dollars, our government should instead invest in the bold solutions our communities need. Preston Nouri agrees, and I hope he can serve alongside me in Congress.
With less than a week until Election Day, can you donate $5 or more to support both Preston’s campaign and mine? With your support, we can take on the billionaires and weapons corporations trying to buy elections and silence our movement.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately, split evenly between Preston Nouri and Rashida Tlaib:
With Israel’s government voting this week to ban UNRWA—the UN agency that’s the primary source of humanitarian aid for Palestinians—we desperately need more U.S. officials who will push to reinstate U.S. funding for the essential agency. We need leaders like Preston who will stand strong against weapons manufacturers and other corporate interests that are pushing for endless wars while polluting our democracy with millions of dollars in corporate lobbying and donations.
Together, we will keep working alongside grassroots movements to push for collective liberation, from Palestine to Pennsylvania to Michigan and beyond. We will keep building a government of, by, and for the people that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few.
Will you split a donation today between Preston’s campaign and my campaign so we can both keep up the fight for justice for all people, no matter their background?
Thank you for continuing to work toward a better world for all.
In solidarity,
Rashida
