Dear John,

Can science be superstition?

C.S. Lewis thought so.

In The Abolition of Man, Lewis wrote that “the serious magical endeavour and the serious scientific endeavour are twins.”

It seems like a strange comparison.

Science is obviously more credible than magic. Why would Lewis describe them as twins?

This free online conference ([link removed]) will explore Lewis’s theme in depth.

And given all that’s happening with COVID-19, this probably couldn’t happen at a better time.

Join the ISI community Saturday, May 16 at 3 p.m. ET as we dive deep into the nature of science and the role it plays in human flourishing.

Spots are limited, so reserve your spot now!
