I’m Mike Holmgren. While you might know me as a former Green Bay Packers coach (including in 1997, when we defeated the Patriots in the Super Bowl!), what you might not know is that I’m also the husband of a nurse and the father of four daughters, including one who is a high-risk OB/GYN.

Today, I’d like to take a moment to tell you why – along with my family including my daughter Calla, who like Kristin is an OB/GYN – I’m supporting Kristin Lyerly for Congress, and why I’m asking you to join me in supporting her. [link removed]

In the past years, since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and paved the way for states and ultra-conservative politicians to restrict health care, we’ve seen devastating consequences for women and pregnant patients around the country.

Here in Wisconsin, for 15 months abortion was banned by a law from back before the Packers were even founded (for those not counting, that was 105 years ago – the law dates back to 1849 ). Reproductive rights have been restored in Wisconsin, but for millions in states where abortion is banned, that’s not the case.

My daughter Calla has seen more than a few difficult cases – cases that make it crystal clear why politicians simply have no place in our health care decisions. Cases where there are no easy answers or easy choices.

I’m no stranger to tough fights, and I’ve led my teams to victory plenty of times. This is another tough fight. Kristin is up against a Trump-backed opponent who has the support of the Republican establishment.

But it’s a fight that we absolutely must win. Our future – and our children’s futures – depend on it.

So I’m asking right now: Join me in supporting Kristin Lyerly as the first pro-choice OB/GYN in Congress by chipping in to her campaign right now. [link removed]
