John Cook is a research assistant professor at the Center for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University. He founded Skeptical Science, co-authored college textbooks on climate change denial, Climate Change Denial: Heads in the Sand, and his research was crucial in establishing to the world the 97 percent scientific consensus on human-caused global warming ten years ago. (New meta-analysis puts the number at 99.4%).We not only have to be able to spot malicious attempts to deceive us, but be able to help others spot it too in order to get enough people to join this fight!
