John, in just six days, voters nationwide will cast their ballots in the first Presidential election since the January 6th attack on our democracy.

Over the past several years, we have seen a disturbing increase in the number and scale of attempts to suppress the votes of tens of thousands of American citizens – sometimes by illegal, intimidating practices.

And we’ve identified hundreds of polling places across the country where voters need the most support this November so they can cast their votes without obstruction, confusion, or intimidation.

We have the solution – our nonpartisan Election Protection volunteers – and we’re training new ones every day right up until Election Day. These hardworking volunteers will provide information, troubleshoot problems, and report bad practices to our nationwide network of voting experts who can work directly with election officials to find a solution.

Thanks to the generous support of Common Cause members like you, we’ve trained and placed thousands of volunteers. But more are still signing up every day! Please help us get these grassroots volunteers into the field at the polling places where they’re needed most.

How much money we raise will directly determine how many volunteers we can place between now and Election Day. It costs $50 to train and place a volunteer in the field.

And quite frankly, based on the high level of alertness and activity that we must maintain at all levels of government right now, we need to train another 10,000 volunteers between now and Election Day. That means we’ll need to raise $500,000 between now and Election Day.

Thankfully, we’ve got a great head start. A fellow Common Cause member has donated $250,000 in hopes of inspiring others to support our work. With your help, we can multiply the impact of his gift to fully fund our Election Protection program through November’s election and beyond.
