State of Working X 2024 Round-Up

Dear EARN community,

We’re excited to share the below round-up of “State of Working X” reports from EARN network groups in 2024. The work below reflects some of the many ways EARN groups are using available updated data from our EARN SWX Data library (username and password: "economics") to strengthen public understanding of state labor market trends and highlight policy priorities that advance worker power and racial and gender equity.

We encourage you to explore how EARN groups across the country are making innovative uses of data, incorporating worker stories, investigating their state’s particular economic challenges, and advocating for equity-enhancing policy reforms. Along with published reports, many of the pages linked below include impressive examples of interactive web resources and graphics, case studies highlighting worker voices and insights from partner organizations, and other uses of research and communications to support joint policy campaign work with labor and grassroots partners.

If your EARN group has published a 2024 “State of Working X” report, brief, or resource site that’s missing from our list, please send it to us!

And if you’re new to the EARN network and interested in learning more about how to access or engage with the State of Working X data library or other EARN data sets, please contact us at [email protected].

In solidarity,
Emma Cohn
