As a veteran, these quotes from Donald Trump make me sick:

"I need the kind of generals that Hitler had."

Describing Medal of Honor recipients as, "Either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they're dead."

On the funeral for murdered Army private Vanessa Guillén: "It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f*cking Mexican!"

Let me remind you: Brian Fitzpatrick voted to protect this same Donald Trump after he tried to violently overthrow our government because he lost a free and fair election.

Trump has no respect for service members like me or our democratic values as Americans. And this country absolutely cannot afford MAGA pushovers like Brian Fitzpatrick to be the only check on him… because we know they won't actually check him.

When I joined the Army, I swore an oath to our Constitution – not a president or a dictator. It's clear Fitzpatrick and Trump will never understand that kind of patriotism and sacrifice. That true patriotism is the kind of leadership Congress desperately needs right now.
