President Biden Calls Trump Supporters “Garbage”

Fox News: President Biden went viral Tuesday night for comments disparaging Trump supporters as his No. 2, Vice President Kamala Harris, made a major speech to voters calling for unity from the Ellipse right outside the White House. During a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, Biden took a swipe at former President Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden, which made headlines after insult comedian Tony Hinchiffe made jokes mocking different ethnic groups, with one joke referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “Trump’s demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it is un-American” (Fox News). Congressman Wesley Hunt: Tonight, the sitting Democratic President of the United States just called Trump supporters “garbage.” After two failed assassination attempts against Trump followed by the DNC state run media lecturing republicans to “tone down the rhetoric,” Joe Biden calls tens of millions of Americans garbage. Firing this administration is a moral imperative (X). Doug Collins: First, they called us “deplorables.” 2nd, they called us “nazis.” And now, they are calling us “garbage.” Joe Biden just confirmed what Democrats think about Republicans (X). Eric Daugherty: ‘WE ARE NOT GARBAGE – WE ARE PATRIOTS!’: Florida Senator Marco Rubio just DECIMATED the Harris campaign after Biden called all Trump supporters “garbage” (X).

Joe Rogan Reveals Kamala Harris’ Demands for An Interview
Fox News: Podcast giant Joe Rogan revealed his sitdown with Vice President Kamala Harris was scrapped due to the demands from her campaign, although he left open the possibility it could still happen if on his terms. On Friday, Rogan sat down with former President Trump for a three-hour conversation that has already earned more than 36 million views on YouTube. Episodes of “The Joe Rogan Experience” are usually between two and three hours long. After sharing the Trump podcast on X, Rogan cleared the air as to why he has not sat down with the Democratic nominee, although he left open the chance it could happen (Fox News). Joe Rogan: Also, for the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin. My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen (X). Meanwhile, the Trump, Vance ticket is making the trip to Austin, Texas. Wall Street Journal: Republican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance will record an interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan on Wednesday at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas. The announcement comes on the heels of former President Donald Trump’s three-hour conversation with Rogan, which was taped and released last Friday and has garnered more than 37 million views on YouTube (X).

Kamala Harris Claims Trump Will “Terminate the Constitution”
Townhall: Vice President Kamala Harris falsely claimed former President Donald Trump wants to “terminate the Constitution” if elected, taking away black Americans’ rights. The Democratic presidential nominee made the argument on the podcast “Club Shay Shay” after the host, former NFL player Shannon Sharpe, pressed her to explain why so many black voters are backing Trump in the 2024 election (Townhall). Collin Rugg: Kamala Harris says black men need to vote for her because Donald Trump will take their guns and free speech away. You can’t make this up. Shannon Sharpe: Blacks for Trump. They feel that Trump is better for the black community. Can you explain that? Harris: Right. That’s the question… Trump will terminate their Constitutional rights (X).

Trump Announces Policy to Seize Assets of Drug Cartels, Pay Back Victims of Migrant Crime
Wall Street Journal: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said his administration would seize the assets of criminal gangs and drug cartels and use the money as restitution for victims of crimes committed by migrants. The proposal came during a wide-ranging address at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, during which the former president claimed that migrants have “taken over” large swaths of towns and are using military-grade weapons. “We’ve got to get them out of here,” he said. The Federal Crime Victims Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to those who have been affected by crimes. The $3.2 billion fund is financed by fines and penalties from convictions in federal cases, and payments to victims help offset medical and funeral costs, lost wages and other crime-related expenses (Wall Street Journal). Charlie Kirk: Trump announces that his administration will seize the assets of criminal gangs and drug cartels and use them to set up a compensation fund for the victims of migrant crime (X).

DOJ Knew Hunter Biden’s Laptop “Was Real” Prior to 2020 Election
Catherine Herridge: IRS Whistleblowers Involved in Hunter Biden Tax Case Reveal IRS, DOJ, and FBI Knew Laptop “Was Real” Immediately; Claim Prosecutors Demanded They Not Ask Questions About Joe Biden Ahead of 2020 Election. “There were a lot of overt investigative steps that we were not allowed to take because we had an upcoming election” (X). Fox News: CNN contributor Kara Swisher raised eyebrows as she significantly downplayed Big Tech’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story during the 2020 election and called claims of collusion between tech companies and the federal government “absolute nonsense…” “There is no proof that tech companies colluded to do this,” Swisher reacted. “This is nonsense and he knows it” (Fox News).

Biden, Harris Economy Has Decimated Finances for Many Families
Bidenomics at work. Wall Street Journal: Since the Biden-Harris administration took office, consumer prices in U.S. cities have risen 26% faster than private-sector wages. Paychecks now buy less than they did in January 2021. During the four years Donald Trump was in office, inflation-adjusted private-sector wages rose by 8.1%. That means real private-sector wages today are effectively 11.8% lower than they would have been if the Trump-era economy had continued for another four years. Yet the inflation rate greatly understates the “bundling” effect of higher prices. A new car today costs $47,870 versus $40,857 in January 2021. And the total annual cost to operate that car has soared. Home ownership is where families have suffered from the Biden-Harris inflation the most. The average home cost $303,900 in January 2021. In August, the cost hit $416,700. But with mortgage rates recently at 6.44% versus 2.77% in January 2021, the total cost of buying and financing a home has more than doubled—from $14,928 to $31,404 a year (Wall Street Journal).

Washington Post Journalists Upset as Owner Jeff Bezos Defends Decision to Not Endorse Candidate in Op-Ed
Katie Pavlich: For the first time in decades the Washington Post, and a number of other major newspapers, declined to endorse a candidate for U.S. president. Given they almost always endorse the Democrat, it’s a blow to Vice President Kamala Harris. A number of folks who work at the Washington Post melted down, with some even resigning and 200,000 readers cancelled their subscriptions. But the billionaire owner of the publication, Jeff Bezos, issued an explanation in his own paper on Monday, “The hard truth: Americans don’t trust the news media. A note from our owner.” Bezos didn’t hold back about the current state of media (Townhall). Jeff Bezos: We must be accurate, and we must be believed to be accurate. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but we are failing on the second requirement. Most people believe the media is biased… Presidential endorsements do nothing to tip the scales of an election. No undecided voters in Pennsylvania are going to say, “I’m going with Newspaper A’s endorsement.” None. What presidential endorsements actually do is create a perception of bias. A perception of non-independence. Ending them is a principled decision, and it’s the right one (Washington Post). Fox News: “Terrible. Whole newsroom in uproar over it. Tone-deaf and ill-informed,” one staffer reacted to Fox News Digital… The central argument of the op-ed was the widespread distrust Americans have in the legacy media. “It was facile and poorly argued,” the staffer reacted. “He says journalists have lost the trust in readers without mentioning the constant attacks on us as ‘fake news’” (Fox News).

Iran Still Attempting to Assassinate Several Officials From the Trump Administration
Free Beacon: Iran is still actively engaged in plots to assassinate two senior Trump administration officials, including former secretary of state Mike Pompeo, according to a non-public notice sent to Congress. The notification, which the State Department transmitted to congressional leaders last week, reveals that Pompeo and former U.S. Iran envoy Brian Hook continue to face “serious and credible” threats from a foreign nation, reported to be Iran. The findings come on the eve of a contested presidential election in which Iran’s plots to assassinate former president Donald Trump have taken center stage in recent weeks. Trump was briefed late last month about real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States (Free Beacon). Newsmax: Congress has been informed 20 different times of credible threats against Hook, who led the Trump administration hardline policy against Iran, the Free Beacon said. Congress has been informed of 17 different threats against Pompeo. Pompeo, Hook, and former White House national security adviser John Bolton remain under U.S. protection due to the ongoing threats (Newsmax).

Iran Executes American Prisoner; Daughter Begged Biden, Harris to Release Him
Times of Israel: Iranian-German prisoner Jamshid Sharmahd, who was kidnapped in Dubai in 2020 by Iranian security forces, has been executed in Iran after being convicted on terror charges disputed by his family, the country’s judiciary reported Monday. The judiciary’s Mizan news agency reported that his execution took place Monday morning. Iran accused Sharmahd, who lived in Glendora, California, of planning a 2008 attack on a mosque that killed 14 people and wounded over 200 others, as well as plotting other assaults through the little-known Kingdom Assembly of Iran and its Tondar militant wing. His family disputed the allegations and worked for years to see him freed… Amnesty International said the proceedings against Sharmahd were a “grossly unfair trial” because he was denied access to an independent lawyer and “the right to defend himself” (Times of Israel). Daily Wire: But in early September, Skarmahd’s daughter, Gazelle, spoke out on X, saying, “So let’s look at what they’re saying and what they have done to get their hostages out,” she stated. “Our world leader, our President Biden, was chilling at the beach this week while his VP was using the hostage family, the American hostage family, for her campaign trail on the DNC. And after Hamas executed him Hersh Goldberg-Polin, she made a phone call and was very sorry about that. But let’s look back at how the Biden-Harris administration has handled other American hostages; one, specifically: my dad, Jimmy Sharmahd, is an American and a German, and he’s been kidnapped, taken to Iran, held hostage there for four years, the entire time of this administration, and they haven’t done anything to bring him home.” “Neither President Biden nor his VP Harris have even talked to us or even mentioned my dad’s name, let alone done something for him” (Daily Wire).

Is the Progressive Agenda Dead?
Ed Morrissey: Progressivism Is Dead, and Dems Killed It. Or Is It? So wrote center-left columnist Ruy Teixeira yesterday at the Free Press, in what reads like a post-mortem for after the election. We don’t need to wait, Teixeira argues, because Democrat messaging in this cycle already proves that the Left knows their agenda is dead… The problem with Teixeira’s declaration of death starts with the agenda items that he calls terrible, especially in the way Teixeira frames them. And by that, I mean Teixeira makes the mistake of framing them honestly: 1. Loosening restrictions on illegal immigration was a terrible idea, and voters hate it. 2. Promoting lax law enforcement and tolerance of social disorder was a terrible idea, and voters hate it. 3. Insisting that everyone should look at all issues through the lens of identity politics was a terrible idea, and voters hate it. 4. Telling people fossil fuels are evil and they must stop using them was a terrible idea, and voters hate it. He does a good job of sustaining his argument, but the problem isn’t so much that the ideas are terrible. They are terrible, which is obvious from the up-front and accurate description Teixeira uses for each of them. In fact, no one in their right mind would have supported an agenda like this (HotAir).
