Preparing to Do Battle with ERA 2.0

Independent Women’s Forum is delighted to present Anne Schlafly Cori, Chairman of the Board of Eagle Forum, as the latest in our popular series of Champion Women profiles ([link removed]) .

Cori is speaking out to correct the hostile portrayal of her mother, the legendary Phyllis Schlafly, in the new Hulu FX miniseries “Mrs. America,” and at the same time doing battle with the newly resurrected Equal Rights Amendment, which her mother is credited with having singlehandedly defeated in the 1970s.

Although Cori knew after seeing the trailers that her mother would be played as cold and calculating, once she saw “Mrs. America,” she was stunned at seeing how the series dealt with deeply private matters about which the producers and writers couldn’t possibly know.

Since many of the results of the ERA predicted by Phyllis Schlafly if the ERA was ratified have come to pass without the amendment, why bother with a second fight? Does it really matter? Anne says it is more important than ever, especially given the blurring of the lines of biological sex.
