John —

Finally, a fair chance in Wisconsin.

The New York Times recently reported that Democrats are running in “the first truly contested state legislative races in 13 years.”

Wisconsin has seen some of the most brazen attempts to manipulate maps for Republicans who have been desperate to hold on to power in the legislature. But last year, due in large part to the efforts of this movement , the Wisconsin state supreme court ruled that new maps should be drawn.

And now, with those new and fair maps in place, we have a real chance at flipping the state assembly and making gains in the state senate — our best shot in a generation.

We’ve endorsed NINETY (90!) pro-democracy candidates running for state-level office in Wisconsin who are ready to hold the line against extreme MAGA Republicans.

With just one week left, can you chip in $30 right now to help our Democracy Defenders and their teams sprint through the finish line? [[link removed]]

These are must-win races. Our Democracy Defenders are running against extreme MAGA Republicans who are already bringing Project 2025 policies into our communities.

Take for example, Representative Chuck Wichgers, the opponent of 2024 Democracy Defender Zach Roper, running in Wisconsin State Assembly District 84.

Last year, talking about a bill that would increase access to birth control, Wichgers argued that contraception leads to “marital infidelity,” a “loss of respect for women,” and a “proliferation of STDs.” He believes birth control is immoral and unsafe.

And back in 2021, Wichgers co-authored legislation to prohibit critical race theory because he did not “believe our schoolchildren or the employees at our government schools should be forced to listen to this pedagogy.”

Or take Representative Scott Allen, the opponent of 2024 Democracy Defender Kevin Reilly, running in Wisconsin State Assembly District 82. In 2022, Allen authored a bill to ban gender-affirming care for trans youth — calling this type of care an “experiment.”

And when discussing abortion rights, Allen said, “It’s not your body. It’s a body within your body.”

We’ve got to do everything we can to help elect pro-democracy candidates who will protect our fundamental freedoms.

With a donation right now, you can help finally end the GOP’s grip on Wisconsin — and help boot extreme MAGA Republicans from office all across the country. [[link removed]]

We’re running out of time though, John. With the election just one week away, we need you to take action right now.

Thank you,
