MAGA's hate-filled rally at Madison Square Garden could swing battleground states.

Hello, John!

Welcome back to Across the Country, our weekly series from No Dem Left Behind! I’m Sabrina Niazi, here with Daniela Rodriguez, to bring you the latest on key issues as we head into the final stretch before Election Day.

This week, we’re taking a closer look at former President Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden—an event that starkly highlights the stakes in this election.

Trump’s Madison Square Garden Rally Sparks Outrage — How Will It Impact the Election?

The MAGA rally at Madison Square Garden saw Trump amplify his typical themes—but this time with even harsher rhetoric targeting immigrants, marginalized communities, and Democratic leaders. Through inflammatory language, Trump painted immigrants and political opponents alike as “threats to America,” a message that has alarmed people across the political spectrum. The rally wasn’t just divisive; it was openly hostile, with Trump allies on stage delivering racially charged remarks that outraged both Republicans and Democrats. One speaker, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, sparked widespread backlash after calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage”—a remark denounced as racist and condemned by leaders in both parties, especially in states like Florida, where Puerto Rican voters make up a critical demographic.

Kamala Harris and her campaign team have responded swiftly, urging voters to recognize there’s a different path forward—one that values diversity, strengthens economic opportunities for all, and tackles pressing issues like inflation and housing costs without vilifying entire communities. Harris has doubled down on policies that prioritize unity and equity, emphasizing a future where all Americans can thrive.

With only a week left until Election Day, the stakes in battleground states like Pennsylvania and Arizona could not be higher. Polling shows Trump and Harris running neck-and-neck, but recent trends reveal a shift: undecided voters are increasingly concerned about the divisive tone emerging from Trump’s campaign. Among these undecided voters, 60% say they’re seeking a leader who will address economic challenges without stoking division. Harris, with her message of inclusivity and practical solutions, is positioned to reach these voters by embodying unity and steady leadership.

Trump’s rally highlighted the stark choice that voters face. His approach risks alienating communities, deepening divisions, and sowing further discord. Harris, on the other hand, is committed to addressing our nation’s biggest challenges—housing, inflation, healthcare—with integrity and respect for every American’s dignity.

As we count down the final days, it’s vital to choose leaders who will unite rather than divide us. Now is the time to stay informed, get involved, and work toward a brighter, more inclusive future with No Dem Left Behind!
