Hi John, it’s Paul Reiser. You might know me from Mad About You, Beverly Hills Cop, Stranger Things, or you might not know me at all. (I almost said, "You might not know me from Adam” - but that might be confusing in this context.) In any event - I’m writing to you today about something serious. Millions of Americans have already voted. They have voted by mail. They have voted early. And over the next 7 days, tens of millions of additional votes will be cast. We all face a tremendous choice. We can turn the page on Donald Trump’s divisive chapter of American history, move our country forward, and defend our democracy with Kamala Harris as our President and Adam Schiff as California’s next Senator. Or we can allow Trump to drag us down into the darkness. In California’s Senate race, I know where I stand: I’m with Adam Schiff.
If we want to see action on the climate crisis, Supreme Court reform, affordable healthcare, and support for democracies worldwide, we need to send Adam Schiff to the Senate, elect Kamala Harris, and flip control of the House. It won’t be easy — Donald Trump treats Adam as one of his biggest adversaries — because no one has done more than Adam Schiff to stand up to him. Trump will do and say anything he can to defeat Adam because of Adam’s work to hold Trump accountable for his attempts to dismantle our democracy. He isn’t just calling Adam names. He’s threatening to use the United States military to stop Adam and any other “enemies from within” who dare dissent. That’s how democracies become dictatorships, and we’d be foolish to believe it can’t happen here. Especially after Trump’s first term and the violence on January 6. I’ve long admired Adam’s work to stand up for the rule of law and our Constitution. Now, with just 7 days until the election, let’s show our support for him as he runs for the United States Senate.
