Dear John,
A lot of people think the final few days of a campaign are the busiest, but that’s actually not the case. In some ways, they’re the quietest: All the decisions have already been made, all the ads have already been created, all the grassroots organizing has already been completed.
So, as I sit here now in between the last dozen or so events of this campaign for Attorney General, I wanted to share with you how grateful I am that you came along with me on this ride.
No Republican has won an election for North Carolina Attorney General since the 1800s. I expect that to change in a few days, and if it does, it’ll be because of you. Some of you have given money, others have volunteered their time, but all of you have given me the energy and the motivation to leave it all on the field in our fight to restore a culture of law and order in this state.
Here you’ll find my last ad of this campaign, and it’s about what matters most in all of this, and why I decided to pursue this office in the first place: doing right by people.
