Hi Friend -- I’m writing to share a quick update on my latest work in Congress. As always, please don’t hesitate to drop me a note with any questions or feedback.
1. Making Childcare More Affordable.
*
As
part
of
my
“Childcare
Affordability
Plan,”
I
announced
new
legislation
to
make
childcare
more
affordable
and
accessible,
so
that
families
can
afford
to
live,
work,
and
stay
in
Jersey.
My
plan
will
reduce
costs,
expand
childcare
options,
and
provide
immediate
relief
to
Jersey
families.

2. Advocating For a Bipartisan “Unity Commitment.”
*
I
announced
a
new
bipartisan
“Unity
Commitment,”
which
pledges
Members
of
Congress
to
ensure
calm
and
respect
the
outcome
of
the
election,
regardless
of
who
wins.
Respect
for
our
democracy
must
never
be
a
partisan
issue.

3. Marking One Year Since the Devastating October 7 Hamas Attack.
*
I
led
a
bipartisan
resolution
to
mark
one
year
since
the
horrific
Oct.
7
attack
by
Hamas
terrorists.
We
can
never
forget
the
unconscionable
murder
of
1,200
people
that
day
as
we
work
to
bring
the
hostages
—
including
Americans
—
home.

5. Fighting to Restore SALT.
*
I
am
continuing
to
fight
hard
to
restore
the
full
State
and
Local

deduction
and
cut
taxes
for
more
than
three
million
middle-class
Jersey
families.

6. Clawing Back Federal Investment to Renovate Port Authority Bus Terminal.
*
After
I
advocated
for
critical
investment
to
renovate
the
Port
Authority
Bus
Terminal,
we’re
now
one
major
step
closer
to
delivering
the
federal
dollars
needed
to
modernize
one
of
our
area’s
most
important
transportation
hubs.

7. Protecting Poll Workers Ahead of the Election.
*
Ahead
of
the
election,
I
announced
new
action
to
protect
election
workers
and
keep
our
polling
places
secure
against
threats
of
violence
and
harassment.
I
refuse
to
stand
by
while
extremists
threaten
to
harm
local
poll
workers
in
our
communities—men
and
women
who
are
the
backbone
of
our
democracy.

I
am
grateful
to

9. Providing Justice and Accountability to Victims of Terrorism.
*
I’m
fighting
to
pass
commonsense
bipartisan
legislation
to
support
the
victims
of
state-sponsored
terror
attacks,
like
those
from
9/11,
and
their
families.
We
must
ensure
victims
and
their
families
are
never
forgotten.

I
am
honored
that
the
House

bipartisan
legislation

helped
lead
to

Billie

trailblazing
hero,
