John,
I know we’re all feeling a lot of emotions right now, but I wanted to take a moment to write to you to let you know that the biggest emotion I feel is pride—pride for this incredible community that’s come together to fight for building power in the states. Every dollar, phone call, door knock, and postcard makes a difference, and together, we’re leaving it all on the field.
The presidential race will be close, but the state legislative races will be even closer. We know that winning downballot is essential to ensuring abortion rights, climate protections, gun safety, voter access, and more.
It’s what motivates me—and I know it’s what motivates so many of you—every single day. Your passion, creativity, and dedication are part of a network of thousands of volunteers across the country that has mobilized to contact over one million voters on behalf of Sister District candidates running in the most strategic districts battleground states like Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and more. We’ve raised over $1.4 million in grassroots donations to infuse our campaigns with the resources they need to protect or shift the balance of power in critical state legislative chambers.
This week, Sister District staff and volunteers are deploying to Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and more to do our part to support our campaigns on the ground and get out every last vote for our candidates up and down the ballot. Others are phonebanking until the very last polls close on Election Night.
State legislatures will always be our last line of defense to uphold our fights and ensure a brighter future for all across our country — and no matter what happens on November 5, we will know that we did all that we could, that we left no stone unturned.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this community. I couldn’t be more grateful to be in this fight with you,
