Celebrate those who make a difference at the Bowtie Ball
Hi ,Ā
The devastating effects of Hurricanes Helene and Milton on our community have underscored the crucial role journalists play in delivering accurate information when we need it most. Their commitment to providing reliable news during challenging times is critical, and we believe itās important to celebrate those who exemplify this dedication. |
At this year's Bowtie Ball on Nov. 16, where we will be awarding acclaimed television journalist Robin Roberts the Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism, we will also be taking time in the program to celebrate journalism closer to home. We will recognize individuals representing bay area media organizations and independent content creators for their outstanding coverage of the hurricanes. Our guests include members of the staff of the Tampa Bay Times, WUSF and ABC Action News, including Chief Meteorologist Denis Phillips.Ā |
We invite you to join us for an inspiring evening of fine dining and entertainment as we come together to pay tribute to the commitment of those who work to provide credible, factual information to our community.
