My roots run deep in IL-17 — my parents met in Peoria, I grew up in Rockford, and now I’m proud to live in the Quad Cities with Shawn and our dogs, Petey and Oliver. It has been my life’s privilege to give folks here the support they needed to get ahead.

The future of IL-17 is in our hands. In one week, we will learn if we go back to the past or continue forward toward progress.

My opponent has made it clear he’d continue the assault on reproductive rights. And there’s no doubt he’d join Mike Johnson and the rest of the far-right in continuing the destruction of our democratic norms.
