I'm just going to come right out and say it, friend: I am so sick and tired of the inept and morally bankrupt leadership of Republicans in Florida. 

As a dangerous hurricane hurled toward our state, Gov. Ron DeSantis refused to even pick up a phone call from Vice President Kamala Harris — who was calling to plan through recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and in preparation for yet another devastating storm, Hurricane Milton. 

This makes me so angry: DeSantis and his allies are playing politics with the lives and livelihoods of Floridians. It's the same old, tired playbook from the likes of Donald Trump and my opponent, Sen. Rick Scott.

Floridians deserve better. America deserves better. It's no wonder Kamala Harris is polling within the margin of error against Trump here in Florida and that I am statistically tied with Rick Scott. Floridians are ready for change — and it's our grassroots campaign that can deliver it.

But friend, at the drop of a hat, Rick Scott spent $10 MILLION on ads to defeat me — a desperate effort to cling to power.
