I’ll give it to you straight: Winning the special earlier this year was only half the battle. We are now right in the middle of a tough reelection campaign.

We have accomplished so much since February. I’ve been a leader in Democrats’ efforts to find solutions on the border. I’ve stood up for Long Island and Queens. And I’ve made real progress on our mission of fixing the broken political system and making Congress something that works for the American people. 

But team, we still have so much to do, and I need to be in office to get it all done. Will you chip into my re-election campaign so I can win in a week and get back to work?
