Dear Friends,
Early Voting is already underway in New York City and across our state! As you know, this is a critical election for so many reasons and it is important that everyone participates in our democracy and has their voices heard.
I encourage all to exercise their right to vote. This year, federal and state office holders are on the ballot, in addition to six important ballot proposals in New York City. The ballot proposals are on the back of your ballot, so don’t forget to flip it over!
On the ballot proposals:
I’m proud to support Prop 1, which will enshrine the ERA in New York’s constitution and protect reproductive rights in New York by preventing the State from ever passing an abortion ban, no matter who is in Albany.
However, I do not support Props 2-6, which would radically upend the series of checks and balances in our City government, tilting the balance in the Mayor's favor over the City Council.
If you are voting by mail, your ballot must be postmarked no later than November 5. You may also drop off your ballot at an early voting poll site if you choose.
In NYC, voters are assigned to one early voting site. Remember that your Early Voting poll site might differ from your Election Day site – check where to vote here!
