Dear all,

Thank you to everyone who joined the second State of the Race update! If we missed you, you can find resources and information below. Don’t miss our email template [ [link removed] ], which you can pass along to your networks!

The State of the Race next week: GO CANVASS! We won’t be on Zoom, as Jessica will be out knocking on doors, AND YOU SHOULD TOO! Here is the link to sign up in your area [ [link removed] ] - we have canvass launches all over the district. Don’t see one in your area but want to canvass? Reach out to Russell at [email protected] [ [email protected] ] for ideas on how to plug in.

Toplines of the Week

Jessica had a phenomenal debate against opponent Kiley and held him to account for his shameful record on wildfire and abortion. You can watch the full debate here [ [link removed] ] and I have included some clips of her closing statement [ [link removed] ], her plans for wildfire mitigation [ [link removed] ], holding Kiley accountable on abortion [ [link removed] ], and again on his dismal wildfire record [ [link removed] ].

Polls in the Press

Our district is turning out in a BIG way! District 3 has the second-highest Democratic turnout of all the swing seats in CA! Dems are turning out 5.1% above Republicans as of today, negating the registration advantage. Just about 125,000 votes are already in and 30,000 new ballots just today! That's similar return margins with Democrats over-performing by about 5%.

And if money talks (and votes), then we’ve got this in the bag. The Washington Post is reporting on donations by zip code [ [link removed] ] - and CA 03 is out-donating Trump to Kamala 2:1!

New polling [ [link removed] ] from the Public Policy Institute of California shows that “majorities favor the Democratic candidate over the Republican in House races across demographic groups and regions.” They also found that Democrats are more enthusiastic about voting for Congress this year.

…2.95 million and counting!

So far we've raised over $2.95 million dollars, thanks to people like you! Every dollar helps us spread the word. We only have 60k left to raise!!! If you can, please ask friends and family to chip in!

The email template attached here [ [link removed] ] is a great way to reach out to your networks.

Or, you can donate here [ [link removed] ]!

Report from the Field

Thanks to all your dedicated canvassing, we knocked on 4,310 doors this week and had over 1071 conversations in 135 shifts! After the final tally, our campaign knocked on 40,691 doors with 9,306 conversations and made 223,695 calls resulting in 6,538 phone conversations!

We now have a VIRTUAL CANVASS TRAINING [ [link removed] ] featuring our own Jessica Morse and led by field organizing star Russell Cumming!

Talking Points as You Reach Out to Your Networks

* Problem Solver: Jessica’s career in public service has been all about tackling tough challenges—from counterterrorism to nuclear nonproliferation, and even fighting wildfires. She’s been on the frontlines of global crises and is the leadership we need now.

* Wildfire Expertise: With California facing wildfires as we speak, Jessica’s unique expertise in wildfire prevention and forest management is desperately needed—not just here in CA, but nationally.

* Flip the House: Taking back Congress runs through California! CA-03 is now a Kamala +1 district—WE CAN WIN THIS!

* The ONLY Woman: Jessica is the only woman running in a red-to-blue seat in California. We must elect more Democratic women to the House!

* Pro-Choice Champion: Jessica is proudly pro-choice and committed to codifying Roe in Congress—an issue supported by nearly two-thirds of her district. Meanwhile, Kiley is part of the MAGA movement working to strip away reproductive rights.

Thank you for being part of this movement! Together, we can make history in CA-03!
