Friends,

Scientists studying the spread of COVID have found a disturbing trend: across the country, Black Americans are disproportionately hardest hit by the virus.

Systemic inequalities are largely to blame, with one epidemiologist citing lack of insurance and crowded living conditions as contributing factors to the toll taken on communities of color.

According to Dr. Patrick Sullivan, professor of epidemiology at Emory University, the situation “calls for interventions like considering emergency enrollment for the Affordable Care Act.”

Trump has already rejected that very idea. And the problem is only set to grow worse: the same group of scientists say they expect to release a similar report on Latinx Americans next. With the most disenfranchised Americans most at risk, we want to know what you think:

Should the federal government act now to protect Americans of color?

YES   NO

Thank you again for being part of the fight,
