For weeks, Pennsylvania’s Latino political and business leaders have been sounding the alarm, saying more needs to be done to engage Latino voters as Democrats’ lead among them drops to its lowest levels in decades.
On Friday, Harris did just that when she introduced a new policy agenda for Puerto Rico, highlighting plans to strengthen the economy, rebuild the power grid, and improve health care on the island. And now that message is everywhere – alongside footage from Trump’s offensive rally.
To translate all this attention into a real difference, we need to have as many conversations as possible with voters who may be on the fence or need that extra nudge to the polls — reminding folks that Trump opposes raising the minimum wage, is anti-union, and gives tax breaks to the wealthy while demonizing our communities.
Our organizers report that this approach WORKS – after talking with PA voters considering voting for Trump about the reality of his economic policies, most said they were open to reconsidering their decision, expressing doubts that Trump’s economic plans would help them after all.
