In this video, I tell my story from the heart. I talk about being born in Iran during the revolution, coming to this country at age 6, and being raised by a single mom. And any immigrant kid, any child raised in a single parent household will tell you, folks like us, we know how to fight. And so all my life, from the labor movement to City Hall, I’ve fought for the underdog, for those without a voice. Everything I’ve done, I’ve done with a focus on how the decisions we as leaders make impact the working people who make this city work. Today, I’m the only middle class candidate in the race for mayor. And with one week to go before Election Day, I’m running hard to build a city for all San Franciscans, a city where, when we get ahead, we make sure not to leave anyone behind.
