I don’t want to get ahead of things, but I’m feeling hopeful for the first time in a very long time. 

Vice President Kamala Harris has been at peak performance in her recent appearances, even holding her ground on Fox News — looking like the tough, unflappable leader that she is and continuing to win even more endorsements from key Republicans. 

But this race is still too close for comfort, and we need to be vigilant. We have work to do to ensure that our victory over far-right extremism is overwhelming — especially since we know that Donald and his allies are laying the groundwork to overthrow the election if they lose.

People are waking up to the realization that Donald is a no-nothing empty suit who is losing his grasp of reality. It’s as if people are finally seeing the man behind the curtain: the miserable, petty, perpetually aggrieved child who seems only to be trying to win back the presidency so he can stay out of prison.

If Donald continues to feel under pressure, he’ll keep getting worse. We have to keep shining a light on his increasing, and increasingly serious, deficiencies. 

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Post Election Day, we're either going to be living in a struggling democracy that has another chance to set itself right, or a fascist America with a leader who wants nothing more than vengeance.
