Polling is a lot closer than we had hoped — especially here in PA. Things are feeling more up in the air than we’d like to see at this point, which can make voters feel uneasy. Not to mention the GOP can sense the nerves and will likely ramp up the money they’re flooding into this district.

That means we have to be ready for last-minute spending on a moment’s notice. But we’ve already been spending down to $0 these last few weeks, so if we find ourselves in a situation in these final 7 days where we’re not bringing in money — then we won’t be able to fund any last-minute costs like extra canvass materials and last minute media boosts. Trust me; those last-minute spending needs are some of the most critical in a campaign.

You and I both know that Mary Gay is not going anywhere without a fight. She said she’s going to deliver Democrats victories up and down the ballot and she meant it. But without that cash in the door, it might not be possible for her to live up to her word.
