Vote Early (We did), Volunteer, Worry--> Work

Dear Friends,

We have just 7 days left. Brooke and I and 50,816 Arlingtonians have voted. That's less than the 80,643 who had voted in 2020 as of the end of the day this past Sunday. (Remember the 2020 election was during the heart of the pandemic.)

Voting early helps us win: it enables Arlington Democrats to focus on volunteering outside of Arlington. It also improves the data available to the Harris/Walz and Kaine campaigns so that we can win elsewhere in swing states and in Virginia.

Voting Early this Week Helps Us Win
Voting early removes you from the list of people we have to contact to turn out. It also gives data to the Harris/Walz and Kaine campaigns about who has voted, so they can focus their efforts.

You can vote this week between 8 AM and 7 PM today through Friday, and Saturday between 9 am and 5 pm at:

Courthouse Plaza - 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Ste 320

Madison Community Center - 3829 N Stafford St
Walter Reed Community Center - 2909 16th St S

All Arlington voters are eligible to vote early. Just bring an acceptable ID!

Election Day is November 5 and polls will be open from 6am-7pm. On Election Day you must vote at your assigned polling place. Verify the location of your polling place before Election Day as it may have changed.

Volunteer to Help Us Win

You can volunteer in Arlington, Prince William, Pennsylvania, or North Carolina to help us win. The closest highly contested race in Virginia is Eugene Vindman's race for Congress in Prince William County, Stafford County, and Fredericksburg. You can also go canvass in North Carolina or Pennsylvania. My dad and I will be in North Carolina this weekend. Some of you may not be in a place to canvass or call. So, I offer you updated thoughts as of this morning on how you can help, even a little. My first recommendation to help us hold the Senate is Dan Osborn in Nebraska. The New York Times has a poll out yesterday morning with him down two points. Missy Coatar Smasal has closed the gap in her race in Virginia Beach to 1 point.
She needs resources to win.

I have renewed hope that we can win in Virginia Beach to help win back the US House based on a poll that has us within 1 point from this past week. The seat is the one that Elaine Luria represented until the 2022 election. Our candidate is Missy Coatar Smasal, a Navy Veteran and former small business owner who is running in a District Elaine Luria lost by just under 10,000 votes out of 296,000 votes cast.
