Ottawa County Unemployment Rate for September 2024
Preliminary unemployment rates for September 2024 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County had an unemployment rate of 3.3%. This rate was .5 percentage points lower than the August rate of 3.8%, and Ottawa County had the fourth lowest rate of all Michigan counties in September.
Livingston County had the lowest September unemployment rate in Michigan at 3.0%, while Oscoda County had the highest rate at 7.2%. Overall, 77 Michigan counties saw their rates decrease from August to September.
