What are the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease? Are there treatments? How do I take care of my loved one?
At any time, on any day, someone living with Alzheimer's — or those who care for them — could find themselves in dire need of critical answers, compassionate comfort or expert advice.
Last year alone, our Helpline responded to more than 200,000 calls and online chats in times of need. Thanks to the support of our community, we were there to provide information, local resources, crisis assistance and emotional support.
With more and more loved ones being diagnosed every day — and the stressful holiday season approaching — we expect our Helpline to receive more requests for help. People impacted by Alzheimer's and all other dementia will need our Helpline agents to connect them to local care and support, education programs and other resources. Those in need will speak first to Helpline Agents, who can assess the immediate needs and provide solutions. They may also have a more in-depth conversation with a Care Consultant, a master's-level dementia expert who can collaborate to develop an action plan.
Those living with Alzheimer's need our help — every hour of every day — and we need your help right now.Your gift today during our October 72-Hour Match Challenge can go TWICE AS FAR to make sure our Helpline staff can answer every call 24/7 while we advance our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
