Making dinner and taking calls before my evening events — that's just the reality of being a working mom, friend!
As the election heats up (pun fully intended 😉), I find myself taking solace in the normal moments at home. Don't get me wrong, I love being on the campaign trail, too: Talking to voters, traveling around Florida, running a battleground Senate race — I don't take a second of it for granted.
But here's what I also don't take for granted, friend: dinners at home with my three kids and husband, Sundays playing dominoes with my mom, and conversations with my children about what's been going on at school.
I love being a parent. But parents all over our nation — perhaps you, too, friend — share the same sinking feeling right now: Our kids are growing up in a country with fewer freedoms than we had at their age.
I'm in this race to protect, restore, and defend our freedoms. To preserve our democracy.
My opponent, Sen. Rick Scott, is directly responsible for confirming Supreme Court justices who have eviscerated reproductive rights and weakened voting rights. Ya no más — enough is enough.
This is our greatest opportunity to defeat extremist Rick Scott and protect our democracy. His approval rating sits at an abysmal 35%, with election experts calling him one of the most vulnerable GOP senators on the ballot. With Florida likely deciding Senate control, I'm fighting with everything I have to win and ensure my kids — and all kids — grow up with every freedom and opportunity to achieve their American dream.
If you're with me, then please rush a donation of $5 or whatever you can spare to help me defeat Rick Scott! He is cutting his campaign million-dollar checks to defeat me, so it's truly your grassroots gift at moments like this that helps me in this race!
