Friends,

👻 A spectre is haunting Seattle! 👻

The spectre of unaffordable housing, defunded public schools, and a yawning wealth gap.
It’s been a hundred years since a socialist 🌹 (spooky!) has haunted the halls of the state legislature! Far too long! It’s time we return to fight for the needs of working people and families!

With just 1 week  until the election (eek!) more and more voters are filling out their ballots every hour.  We need all hands on deck to Get the Vote Out for Shaun Scott to send him to Oympia to represent the 43rd Legislative District!

We have two extra special canvasses coming up. On🎃HALLOWEEN NIGHT🎃, put on your costume and come down to Capitol Hill, grab some candy🍬 and canvass voters alongside UFCW3000. Then, on Saturday morning, Lenin will watch over us as we launch our canvass at the Lenin Statue in Fremont.

In the midst of an incredibly consequential presidential election, the Shaun Scott campaign provides a ray of hope for the working class. But big business and the super-rich alongside the right wing Seattle Times want to crush us and elect a pro-corporate puppet of landlords and big developers, the same who are driving rent into the stratosphere.

We can’t let them. With Shaun Scott in office, we'll fight to tax the ultra-rich in order to fully fund our public schools, affordable housing, and subsidized childcare!

Join educators from all over Greater Seattle as we get together, chat politics, & share about struggles in our unions. All union activists and socialists are welcome to attend!

Seattle Public Schools initially announced plans to close up to 21 Elementary schools starting in the 2025-2026 school year. After organized opposition from educators and community members, officials backtracked but still plan to close four schools and reduce staff. In one of the richest cities in the US, home to billionaires and some of the most profitable corporations in the world, this is an unacceptable and unconscionable attack on public education and our communities.

Join us for a discussion on how we can fight back against the mass closures and demand NO school closures, NO layoffs, FOR smaller class sizes, and FOR taxing big business and the super rich to fund education!

Make sure to RSVP here!
