My name is Kristen McDonald Rivet. I’m a mom of six (yes, six!) wonderful children and I’m a candidate running for Congress in Michigan’s 8th district, which is one of the most hotly contested and important House races in the country.
Coming from a Great Lakes state, I understand that our environment is part of our way of life and fuels our economy. That’s why I worked in the State Senate to pass ambitious clean energy legislation, prioritizing practical solutions focused on addressing climate change, and attracting high-paying energy sector jobs to Michigan.
In Congress, I will always be a fierce champion of our planet, water, air, lakes, land, and parks. I will fight to make sure everybody has clean drinking water. I will stand up for our communities in Flint, and make sure we do whatever is necessary to heal the damage of the Water Crisis. And I will help pass smart and robust investments that promote clean energy, lower consumer costs, and create good-paying jobs.
My race for Congress is a pure tossup – and it is likely to determine control of the House. I’m running against Paul Junge, a MAGA trust fund kid who’s already put $4 million of his parents’ fortune into his campaign. So I’m not exaggerating when I say donating to this campaign is one of the single most important things you can do to save our country.
I’m asking for your support so I can go to Congress and be a part of the climate solution. Will you please split a donation between me and SEEC PAC today?
