John,

Last night's horrifying display at Madison Square Garden wasn't just another Trump rally - it was a stark warning of what's at stake in this election, including here in Idaho's 2nd District.

For hours on end, Trump and his allies spewed racist and misogynistic rhetoric. A so-called "comedian" made vile remarks about Black people, Latinos, and Puerto Ricans. Tucker Carlson launched racist attacks against Vice President Harris.

And Trump himself hinted at a "secret" plan that could undo the will of American voters should he lose.

This hatred, this extremism - it's spreading everywhere, including right here in Idaho. And my opponent, Mike Simpson, stands in lockstep with this MAGA movement that's threatening the very fabric of our democracy.

Some people ask me why Democrats should even bother competing in traditionally Republican districts like ours. Last night's rally is exactly why. When one party embraces bigotry and authoritarianism, we have a moral obligation to fight back everywhere - including and especially here in Idaho's 2nd District.

With just 8 days until Election Day, we're in the final stretch of this campaign. Every door we knock, every call we make, every voter we reach could make the difference between sending another MAGA Republican to Congress or electing someone who will stand up for our values and act as a firewall for democracy.

But I can't do this alone. Will you rush a donation of $25, $50, $75, $100, or whatever is in your budget to help us finish strong in these final days? Your support will help us reach more voters and share our message of unity and progress, not division and hate.

What we saw at Madison Square Garden last night wasn't just a New York problem - it's an American problem. And the solution starts right here in districts like ours, with people like you standing up and saying: enough is enough.

Together, we can reject this dangerous extremism and build a better future for Idaho and our country. But we have to act now.

Thank you for standing with me in this crucial fight.

Your next congressman,

-David

David Roth is a single, gay dad running for Idaho’s Second Congressional District. We’re going up against a GOP incumbent who has been in this seat for 25 years. It’s time for change in Idaho, and our grassroots campaign is building on the momentum that began in David’s race for U.S. Senate last cycle. The GOP is not planning to defend this seat, so we plan to take it from them and help Democrats retake the House majority next year. We’d love your support to build a solid campaign to bring progress to Idaho and the country.
