Hello John, Human trafficking is a crisis that should have no place in our world, especially not at our southern border. With 50 million people globally trapped in modern-day slavery, this issue has reached a critical point, and it’s worsening due to Washington's failure to secure our border. But there’s hope. AFP is partnering with veteran criminologist and expert in human trafficking Jarrod Sadulski to hold our lawmakers accountable. What many Americans may not realize is that the lack of effective border security and viable legal pathways allow human smugglers and cartels to exploit vulnerable people, trafficking them for forced labor or worse. Last year, Jarrod traveled to the southern border with AFP. As Jarrod spoke with immigrants, he encountered horrific stories of what these people endure. Please check out Jarrod’s op-ed in the Washington Examiner to learn what he saw and how we can hold Washington accountable for stopping human exploitation at the border. Jarrod also joined Chief Clem and AFP for two events in Wisconsin and Colorado last week. These events were focused on human trafficking at the border and what we can do to stop it. We’ll send more on these events later this week! But for now, we're happy to tell you that because those events were so popular, we plan on doing several more in 2025. Please keep an eye out for information on future events. In the meantime, we will keep you informed on steps you can take to stop human trafficking. And it involves holding Washington accountable for this border crisis. Together, we can stop this travesty. 👉 Read Jarrod Sadulski’s op-ed on human trafficking and border security. |
