It’s Sal McBride — Sarah’s mom — and I wanted to share something from my
heart today.
You know, watching your child grow up, you see all their little moments of
courage add up to something remarkable. For Sarah, those moments have
grown into a powerful mission to serve our state of neighbors.
Every time I see Sarah speaking with families in Delaware, I’m reminded of
when she was young. Sarah was always the first to stand up for someone who
needed help. That same spirit drives her today as she fights for better
affordable housing and health care and good jobs.
What makes me most proud isn't just what Sarah has accomplished — watching
her pass paid leave and her Protect Medicaid Act were certainly proud mom
moments! It's how she's done it: by listening, by bringing people
together, and by never backing down when our values are on the line.
