Our expectations were already low when so-called “comedian” Tony Hinchcliffe took the stage at Madison Square Garden in support of Donald Trump. Somehow, he managed to hit a new low with a racist tirade in which he:

• Called Puerto Rico “a floating island of garbage.”
• Said Latinos “love making babies”
• Joked about Black Americans “carving watermelons” instead of pumpkins

This is yet another example of Trump’s campaign normalizing hate and discrimination against American citizens. Can we count on you to join us and help Get Out the Vote to ensure he gets nowhere near the White House?

These disgusting comments betray everything New Jersey stands for. They are an attack not just on our values — but on the doctors, teachers, military service members, friends, neighbors, and family members who make up our communities. We must show that blatant racism like this deserves no space in the highest office in our country.

But we can’t just condemn these words – we must take action. Will you stand with New Jersey and chip in $10 so we can defeat Donald Trump and his racist cabal in 8 days?
