Hotels are making huge profits at workers’ expense while UNITE HERE members deal with understaffing, service cuts and wages that aren’t enough to get by.

Hi John,

Painful workloads…understaffing, service cuts and lost income…not being able to make ends meet…disrespect at work. That’s what hotel workers are dealing with, while hotel owners make huge profits.

Since early September, more than 12,000 hotel workers across the United States have gone on strike to demand the hotel industry respect their work—and respect hospitality. Right now, more than 4,400 hotel workers are on strike in Boston, Honolulu and San Francisco. And more strikes could begin soon.

Will you pledge your support and stand with striking workers?

You can help these brave UNITE HERE members win strong union contracts that will pay the hotel workers what they need to support their families—without punishing workloads or disrespect on the job. We’re calling on the labor movement, and all friends and allies of unions, to publicly honor the hotel workers’ fight.

Each person who pledges not to eat, meet, sleep or drink at a hotel on strike gives hotel workers the power they need to fight for better jobs.

Hotel workers will fight until they win. Will you stand with our union brothers, sisters and siblings?

Pledge your support to striking hotel workers today.

In Solidarity,

Team AFL-CIO

P.S. Before you travel, always consult FairHotel.org and avoid any hotels on strike, under boycott or at risk of a labor dispute—so you can join a picket line in support, instead of crossing one. Don’t forget to check this website before you book your holiday travel!
