Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance to us.

Dear John,

Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance to us.

We have updated our privacy policy, and I want to make sure you are aware of the changes.

Generous supporters like you provide the critical funds needed to continue and expand our lifesaving programs. To reach more, new supporters, we may allow other likeminded, non-profit organizations to contact you. Working with other organizations in this way allows us to reach the best possible audience in the most cost-efficient way.

In order to protect your privacy, we do not give your information directly to the nonprofit; it is kept secure by us and our data and marketing partners. These marketing partners (aka data cooperatives) collect non-sensitive donor information in an encrypted database, where it can be modeled and shared with like-minded organizations. At any point, your information can be removed from these databases. Unless you respond to another organization's solicitation, your contact information will not be shared directly with any other nonprofit.

If you don't want us to exchange your information with other organizations for this type of communication, please let us know by calling 1-855-9RESCUE or emailing [email protected]. To opt-out immediately, please contact us by May 31st. Your data will not be shared before this date. You can opt-out at any time after May 31st as well by using the contact information above. We will be sure to honor your request.

To read highlights of the new policy, please read our entire privacy policy at www.rescue.org/respecting-your-privacy.

Thank you again for your continued, lifesaving support.

Sincerely,

Theresa Rizzo
Director, Supporter Services
