We are preparing for the official unveiling of the Jeannette Rankin Memorial Highway.

Jeannette made history as the first woman elected to federal office, serving two terms as Montana's U.S. Representative. She was a proud suffragette, and the legislation she introduced later became the Nineteenth Amendment. As Montanans, we honor Jeannette’s service and recognize the barriers she shattered for women across the country.

I was honored to sponsor the bill giving Jeannette a memorial highway. Jeannette was a trailblazer and leader. Her story is inspiring and reminds us of the barriers women faced, and those barriers still to be broken.

I’m running for Attorney General to protect our rights and values, and make sure that Montana remains a place where women following in Jeannette’s footsteps can succeed and promote equality for all Montanans.

This week is a critical one. We have our final finance report at the end of this week, and we need to raise $969 before midnight May 14. If we're going to continue Jeannette Rankin's legacy, we need to maximize our efforts in these next few days.
