As we reported last week, the Legislature has declared themselves “essential” and as such, they are prepping to hear and vote on bills. Next Tuesday, May 19, two anti-gun bills are set to be heard before the Assembly Public Safety Committee. AB 2847 by Assemblyman Chiu is taking a revised stab at the microstamping boondoggle, and Assemblyman Muratsuchi is pushing AB 2362which dramatically amps up fines for firearm dealer violations. Stay tuned for our full report on both these bills.
Plus, read how both the LA City Mayor and the County Sheriff want the feds to step in – one wants federal regulations on ghost guns and the other wants federal money to fight gun violence. Maybe they should look in their own backyard on how to fix these problems – both of which have everything to do with people and nothing to do with firearms.
Townhall also reports on guns sales continuing to skyrocket, and Canada steps further into the anti-gun muck as they add websites to the list of assault weapons to ban. Go figure.
