John, yesterday we celebrated the women who have clothed us, fed us, inspired us, and have been leaders throughout our lives. Some of us celebrated our joys, challenges and dedication to being mothers ourselves. Mothers are leading our families, our communities, our workplaces, and we need more of them on Capitol Hill!
Let’s elect more mothers to the House and Senate! One thing is clear: Women are deeply underrepresented in Congress. Mothers have even less representation.
Parenting isn’t easy, and those raising children understand firsthand the struggles of maintaining the needs of their families in an economy that favors the wealthy. They understand the deep need for quality childcare, healthcare, and education for themselves and their children. They know we MUST protect our environment now and for future generations.
They understand, no mother should fear for the life of her son simply for living as a black man. Children should never be separated from their families or kept in cages. This deep thread of empathy binds us. The voices of mothers are critical in shaping policy that impacts so many lives.
There are 14 moms on the BNC slate for 2020 and we want to help get them ALL elected. Can you contribute $20.20 today and help these powerhouse moms reach voters for their upcoming primaries?
