42 years ago, I was injured in a massive car accident that effectively ended
my football career. It put me on a path that led to becoming a Christian and
redefined my identity.

16 years ago, Captain Sam Brown was nearly killed in a roadside bomb explosion
in Afghanistan. It put him on a path that brought him closer to God, inspired
him to public service, and continues to redefine his life.
