We’re approaching a defining moment for our chapter—the Annual Assembly of the Memphis Midsouth DSA. This isn’t just a meeting; it’s an opportunity to help shape our chapter’s future, plan powerful actions for the coming year, and build an organization that is ready to change the South and the world.

Your Chapter’s Annual Assembly

• When: November 12th, 6 pm

• Where: TBD

• What: This is our chapter’s highest legislative session and a place to put our values into action. If you care about our direction and impact, you’ll want to be there.

What We'll Do Together

• Elect New Officers: Bring fresh voices into leadership.

• Revise Our Bylaws: Make changes to strengthen our organization.

• Reflect on the Past Year: Assess our successes, challenges, and paths forward.

• Plan for the Year Ahead: Set intentions and build momentum for action.

This is a moment of both urgency and possibility, a time when each of us has a meaningful role in building our collective power. Join us to seize this opportunity and be part of something impactful.

How to Prepare for the Assembly

1. Take the Quarterly Survey here to confirm your active participation in the chapter.

2. Check Your Membership: Only members in good standing can attend. Make sure your dues are up-to-date here. Monthly dues are a great option as they help fund our local chapter. Need a dues waiver? Apply here.

   • If you need assistance, someone will be available at the Annual Assembly to help with membership on the spot.

Proposed Changes to Chapter Bylaws

We currently have two proposed bylaw amendments that, with member support, will be voted on at the assembly:

1. Funding Petition Process - Establishing a process to petition for funds for chapter-related efforts.

2. Bylaw Amendment Signatures - Reducing the required signatures for bylaw changes from 10 to 7.
