Hi John.
I’m pleased to share some good news with you today!
Kansas Manufacturing Solutions is receiving federal resources to support local manufacturers throughout our region. This is about strengthening our local supply chains, lowering costs, and building more products and jobs here in Kansas – not China.

I was glad to tour Varsity Yearbook in Edwardsville to learn more about how these new resources for Kansas Manufacturing Solutions will benefit manufacturers throughout our region.
Kansas Manufacturing Solutions (KMS) provides services and support to local manufacturers in our region. That includes help with attracting and retaining employees, improving business plans, and growing sales. Based in Lenexa, KMS is the only federally supported Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program Center in the state of Kansas.
The new federal support for KMS specifically aims to address worker shortages in the manufacturing industry with new approaches to employee retention, and by aligning the local manufacturing workforce with the demands of modern manufacturing environments.
KMS performs crucial work to boost Kansas manufacturing. I’ve been glad to vote for the bipartisan laws that make these investments possible, and I’ll continue to partner with them to keep our region’s economy moving.
I want to thank the folks at Varsity Yearbook for letting me learn more about their business and how they’ve partnered with KMS to grow and hire.
I’ve been focused on addressing global supply chain issues and lowering costs for Kansas businesses and families since I began serving you in the House.
That’s why, for example, I served as a negotiator along with Kansas Senator Jerry Moran to help pass a major manufacturing law. Now, the bipartisan CHIPS and Science law has helped generate a surge of factory construction across the U.S.
There’s certainly a lot more work to do to keep strengthening our supply chains and lowering costs. But I know anything is possible if Kansans work together.
It’s an honor to serve you. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
My warmest regards,
Sharice L. Davids Member of Congress
