Ty Pinkins for U.S. Senate

Team,

Earlier this week, Ty sat down with the Mississippi Free Press, and if you’d like to cut right to the chase, read the interview for yourself.

Some folks have wondered why Ty would bother sitting down for an interview with less than a week left until Election Day, but we both know that Ty is going to do everything in his power to share his vision for Mississippi with voters while making sure their concerns are heard.

So, during this interview, he talked about everything that’s weighing on voter’s minds especially:
  • Abortion: Ty made it very clear where he stands on reproductive freedom, showing that he empowers women in Mississippi and across the country to make impossible decisions for themselves. The decision about whether or not to have an abortion is between a woman and her doctor, that’s it.

  • Agricultural Labor: Whenever he’s had the opportunity, Roger Wickers has voted against farm bills that are in favor of Mississippians, but Ty showed during this interview that he supports all farmers equally. Whether you’re a big farm or a small family farm, he’s determined to give everyone the same access to resources.

  • Migration: Ty acknowledged during this interview that a clear pathway to citizenship, especially for those who have been in the United States for years, is possible, and having these folks contribute to society particularly through taxes would be helpful

  • Investment and development: Towards the end of the interview, he talked about the importance of investing in the Mississippi Delta, and how critical hydropower is for our future.
After you read the interview, join our fight: chip in $10, $25, $50, or any other amount to help elect Ty to the U.S. Senate:

- Team Pinkins

The son of a tractor driver, Ty doesn’t come from a wealthy family. He was born and raised in the small town of Rolling Fork, and is a proud son of the Mississippi Delta.

Frustrated by the lack of action from lawmakers on the issues facing people in Mississippi–and believing that the hard-working voters of Mississippi deserve much better–Ty Pinkins decided to run for office: the United States Senate in 2024.
